Final Comment Period for Green-e Greenhouse Gas Product Standard Version 2.0 Ends Tuesday, May 8th

On Tuesday, May 8th, the second and final stakeholder comment period on the Draft Green-e Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Reduction Product Certification Program (Version 2.0) will close.

The Center for Resource Solutions(CRS) encourages all stakeholders to access the revised draft standard at: www.green-e.org/getcert_ghg_standard.shtml and provide comments using the CRS electronic comment form.

On December 21st, 2006 CRS released a draft Green-e GHG Product Standard (Version 1.0). CRS accepted stakeholder comments on this draft through the end of January, 2007.  Stakeholder comments from the first comment period are posted on the above website.

On April 17th, the Center for Resource Solutions released version 2.0 of the draft Green-e GHG Emission Reduction Product Standard. This revised draft standard incorporates stakeholder comments from the first stakeholder comment period wherever feasible.

The Green-e GHG Emissions Reduction Product standard will form the basis for a new certification program for GHG emission reduction products sold by retail providers.  This program will provide consumer protection and disclosure and set standards for quality emission reduction products.

Stakeholder comments on the draft Green-e GHG Product Standard Version 2.0 are due by Tuesday, May 8th.

Only stakeholder comments received using the comment form will be entered into the official docket and publicly posted at the conclusion of the comment period.
