Regional Climate Policy
Western Climate Initiative (WCI)
CRS is participating in the design of the Western Climate Initiative through both direct engagement as a stakeholder—which involves testifying at public workshops, participating in technical working groups, and submitting comment letters—and as an active member of the Western Climate Action Network (WeCAN)coalition. CRS staff participate on committees addressing electricity and complementary policies. Our regional work is part of a federal strategy. By building support and making concrete policy progress at the regional and state levels, we seek to contribute to "bottom up" pressure for effective federal action.
