MMG Marketers' Marketers Group
Green power providers and utilities now have a forum to address marketing issues, learn from colleagues, and access market research

In 2001, at the 6th National Green Power Marketing Conference in Portland, CRS realized the need for consistent dialogue across electric service providers and utilities in order to grow the market for renewable energy. Këri Bolding, CRS Communications Director, began the "Marketers' Marketers Group," to engage a large number of industry members responsible for constructing messages about green power for consumers in constructive discussion around marketing challenges, lessons learned, best practices and analysis for the benefit of the market as a whole.

The assembly of the MMG is our effort to:

  • collectively utilize the market research on consumer attitudes and behaviors relative to green power and the environment;
  • create a united force in a competitive market to increase the general effectiveness and permeation of green power messages; and
  • boost the green power industry as a whole by raising the caliber of our individual marketing efforts through the general collaboration of expertise, experience and lessons learned over the past few years.
