In most the offices, existing T12 fluorescent light fixtures were left in place but converted to T8 fixtures, which are 20% more efficient and provide higher quality, flicker free light. Converting existing fixtures is a lower cost way to save energy and improve light quality when budgets are tight. We replaced the fixtures in the large entry and conference rooms with indirect T8 fluorescent lighting (pictured) over task areas. These fixtures from Finelite provide glare-free light with an appropriate balance between general and task lighting cutting the energy use by more than 50% in these rooms.
